Join the Fun! The 2009-2010 Event Calendar has been updated with new coordinators, dates and events! However, we still have some events needing coordinators & great ideas to make them happen. 'If you are interested in hosting an event, contact Rear Commodore Dick Moore at pigeonridge@embarqmail.com. PLEASE NOTE – some events say ‘RSVP mandatory.’ These are the catered events where a head count is really important. We will start a new process that will mean if you have not RSVP’d, you will not be able to attend. Please help out coordinators by RSVP-ing when asked. And help us be a GREEN Yacht Club - Next time you go through Brinnon watch for the “Adopt-A-Hiway” signs at mile posts 306 and 308. As a club community project we have adopted these two miles of US 101 and will clean the road ditches 2 or 3 times a year. What are you waiting for, sign up today! The Yacht Club is only as good as the participating members! Hood Canal Cruise June 26-27 2010

YOUR YACHT CLUB MEMBERS AT WORK Next time you go through Brinnon watch for the “Adopt-A-Hiway” signs at mile posts 306 and 308. As a club community project we have adopted these two miles of US 101 and will clean the road ditches 2 or 3 times a year. We did our first run last December with 8 hardy members participating. Since this section of road hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time we picked up approx 20 bags of trash including a broken toilet. Thanks to Dan and Barb Loveless, Phil and Nancy Smith, Dick and Sheila Moore, Don Avery and our Commodore Jon Adkins. We’ll be looking for more volunteers in the future so if you want to help out please send us an e-mail! . Pleasant Harbor Yacht Club, working for the community and the environment...... |
